The Call to Action (CTA) coalition
is focused on drug and violence prevention programming. Its
mission is to create a community wide intolerant attitude toward
behaviors that threaten the health and safety of our children.
Through community wide goal setting the coalition will, 1) guide and
update community wide action planning, 2) act as liaisons to
respective organization/agency affiliations to support on another's
efforts, and to 3)serve as a clearinghouse to share and/or provide
resources, speakers, or training on issues relevant to drug and
violence education.
Members "commit to the journey to drive change" by becoming
more educated on topics related to drug and violence prevention
initiatives and to design and implement at least one project or
program, annually, that addresses drug and violence prevention.
Additionally, CTA will serve as an advisory board for safe and
drug-free programming and Farmington Families in Action, the lead
organization whose sole mission is drug and violence prevention initiatives.
